Mission: Montreal

Since I have been in Quebec now for a while, I think I have made a big transition. I am no longer laughing at their "mountains" and am even referring to them as mountains - not as "hills" as we did when we first arrived... It is a little flat in Quebec!

Well, after 2 months of being in Quebec, we finally made the hour and a half drive to Montreal. We went to visit Champy and Julie-Anne in the big city. This is the view heading west crossing the St. Lawrence River heading downtown.

Of course we ate the mandatory montreal smoked meat sandwhich and then had few pints to wash it down with - Champy
took us to a little pub he knows about...

Sylvain tried to show us some new moves on the pool table - were we impressed??? Not sure...

After a few games of pool, we headed to the view point on Mont Royal for a few pics.

Finally we finished the night off with a stiff competition of "Baby Foot", otherwise known as Foos Ball!

Our friend Erik the Maniac from Vancouver was in Quebec on business, so he and his son Cowboy (aka Alex) came to visit us in Victoriaville. Since Victoriaville is considered the birthplace of poutine, we decided to hold a "poutine-off". To decide who has the best poutine in town! This morning Sylvain said that he filled up to his head with cheese curds and pototoes! I am sure he will feel better tomorrow... So Erik was the judge - a tough decision to make!

Final picture for this blog - Sylvain on the mike, Cowboy on the drums!!!
